| Apparently, a tree grew out of my head while I was resting over the winter! |
All season last year I had the fact of my impending surgery hanging over my head. Now, it's over, everything went great, and I'm READY to get back out on my bike!
In fact, I've been ready for weeks, but it's been cold. And there's nothing harder than motivating for the first ride of the season when it's cold and grey. But we got some sunshine last weekend so I finally got out on the trail with Laurie.
Nothing too ambitious. Just 20 flat miles on the W&OD. My avg spd in the end was 13.6, but that includes some slow riding/talking. I think my actual speed was 14mph or faster. I was surprised to feel really good! Ready to try some neighborhood hills next time then get off to another fun season seeing my corner of the world on two wheels.
Here's the ride. So funny, we just went West from Dunn Loring and back, but I forgot to turn off my garmin so it looks like we rode home to Fairfax.
